WARWICK — The Albert Wisner Public Library is offering a two-session program entitled "The Emerging Climate Crisis: Global and Local Impacts and What You Can Do About It."
The program will have a definite local angle and was put together by three local scientists:
• Dr. William J. Makofske, Emeritus Professor of Physics, Ramapo College, and member of Sustainable Warwick;
• Dr. Charles Holmes, Ph.D., Physics, Former NASA Program Manager; and
• Edward Sattler, M.S. Science Educator and owner, Green Me LLC.
Questions explored in the series include:
• What causes climate change and how it is already affecting the world?
• How will it impact the Hudson Valley and New York City?
• What solutions are available?
• What can you do to lessen its effects?
This two-part series will provide answers to these and other commonly asked questions.
The program will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 25, and Wednesday, Feb. 1, each evening at 6:30 p.m.
