WARWICK — The Warwick Fire Department's Fire Prevention Team attended the Sanfordville Elementary School Student Enrichment Program on Saturday, March 9.

The future junior firefighters were taught fire safety skills and about what it’s like to be a firefighter.

The junior firefighters were issued certificates, helmets and gifts upon completion of the class.

"Thanks to the Warwick Valley School District, the Sanfordville Elementary School PTA," said 2nd Asst. Chief Mike Contaxis, "and most of all the kids who requested to take this course so that one day they can join up to be a firefighter."
