    — Warwick Town Police have charged a man, an out-of-work registered nurse and her daughter with heroin possession.
Lt. Thomas E. Maslanka outlined the case in a press release:
On Wednesday, March 13, at about 9 p.m. the Warwick Police Department received a report of disorderly persons at the Mobil gas station on Maple Avenue in the Village of Warwick.
A short time later Warwick Police Officer Joe Kennedy saw a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the disturbance and initiated a traffic stop on State Route 94 in the area of the Flowick Shopping Plaza.
Kennedy identified the occupants of the vehicle as John D. McKinney, 38, Niki Capaci, 36, and Aryana A. Davila, 20, who police described as Capaci's daughter.
Police said all three were returning from Patterson, N.J., to their residence in Wurtsboro.
Police said a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 285 envelopes of heroin and several hypodermic instruments. Maslanka said the heroin was purchased in Patterson for $300; he added that it would sell for about $3,000 in Warwick.
Police said Capaci had 223 envelopes of heroin. She was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, class A misdemeanor.
Capaci was sent to the Orange County Jail on $2,500 cash bail.
Police said Davila had 57 envelopes of heroin. She was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, a class A misdemeanor. Davila also had an active warrant for her arrest from the City of Middletown.
She was sent to the Orange County Jail without bail. No bail was set because of the active warrant from Middletown.
Police said McKinney had five envelopes of heroin.
McKinney was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, fourth-degree criminal facilitation, class A misdemeanor, and a vehicle and traffic violation.
All three were arraigned in Warwick Town Court by Judge Peter Barlet.
