Kristopher Hicks of Liverpool, and formerly of Warwick, died tragically on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. He was 29.
Kris was currently a chef at Chili’s Grill & Bar Restaurant Chain. He was a loyal employee with the “Chili Family” for more than 10 years, where he held various positions throughout New York State.
He was a 2007 graduate of Warwick Valley High School and a lifelong Mets fan.
His family's statement reads: “Kris was a determined self-made man who loved his family, friends and animals, especially cats. We will forever miss his smile and sense of humor.”
The son of Kevin and Kathleen Neilan Hicks, he was born Jan. 11, 1989, in Newburgh.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Kathleen Hicks; brother Kenneth Hicks; girlfriend Elaine Pelletier; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Collette Neilan, and paternal grandparents, Henry and Ethel Hicks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, from noon to 3 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation and burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
