Warwick Valley Community Center and Prevention Coalition sponsor 'Cure the Winter Blues for Kids' on Jan. 20
WARWICK — The Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition and the Warwick Community Center are sponsoring a free, fun-filled day of beat the Winter Blues activities for youth 5-10 years old on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.
There will be supervised outdoor snow activities, indoor crafts and hot chocolate and snacks.
Bundle up to build a snowman and explore the center's new Three Pines Nature Space.
Make a bookmark and bring home a book.
Parents are welcomed to stay and play or leave and enjoy some free time knowing their children are safe and happy.

The Cure the Winter Blues for Kids event is supported by the National Guard Counterdrug Taskforce and other coalition members.
All youth aged 5 through 10 are invited to attend the Community Center to play. Members of the Guard will be there to help welcome the youth and their parents and to have some fun.
This is a bi-lingual, English and Spanish event.
Coalition members will be on hand to answer questions about preventing alcohol and other drug abuse by youth.

The mission of the Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition is to reduce alcohol and marijuana abuse among youth and to prevent initiation into all drug use by encouraging wise and healthy decisions by all community members.
The group meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Avenue, Warwick.
