Orange County Sports Club gymnast places among top at Nationals

FLORIDA — Kiley Fred, a gymnast at Orange County Sports Club, had an outstanding showing at USA Gymnastics’ Level 9 Eastern National Championship.
This is not the first time Orange County Sports Club has gained recognition for their gymnastics program. In the 15-plus years the program has been around, there have been several nationally ranked gymnasts.
Orange County Sports Club sent Kiley Fred, a Level 9 gymnast from Highland Mills, to compete at the National Competition held in Rochester on May 2-6.
Kiley competed in all four events, receiving sixth place in the vault competition, 14th on balance beam, 19th on the uneven bars and 21st for her floor exercise.
Her outstanding showing placed her among the top of the elite athletes at the competition, tying for 14th over all.
“The entire staff at OCSC and I personally are proud of all that Kiley has accomplished," OCSC President Eric Mulhrad said. "She is an extremely talented gymnast that gives us joy watching her and knowing that she trained at our facility.”
