Retired forest ranger and Sterling Forest historian Doc Bayne, left, informed Warwick Rotarians of the key role Orange County played in winning the American Revolutionary War. Bayne, president of Friends of Sterling Forest State Park, spoke of the early area mining, processing of iron ore and the forging of the chain which crossed the Hudson River and impeded the British war ships. Warwick Valley Rotary Club President-elect Dave Eaton and Corresponding Secretary Patti Lurye Dempster are shown with Bayne.
