— Veteran Financial Advisor, Edward Lynch recently celebrated his first anniversary as an independent advisor with Raymond James Financial Services Inc.

His new branch office is located in the Eastgate office complex on Route 17A, on the southern edge of Goshen, a short distance from a Warwick branch he started over 12 years ago.

Members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and members of Warwick Rotary Club last month joined Ed and Susan Lynch for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion.

When Lynch first opened his office in Warwick he had degrees in engineering and business and 16 years of corporate experience, from large to small startup business environments. Lynch also had a concurrent 28-year military service career as an Army Reserve officer. He retired in 2011 at the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Lynch lives in Sugar Loaf with his wife Susan and two children, Sarah and Michael, and actively volunteers in the Warwick community.

For many years he's served local organizations including Warwick Rotary, Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center, Warwick Boy Scout Troop 45 and Warwick Little League. In addition, Lynch is active in the Warwick Chamber of Commerce, Knight of Columbus, American Legion and St. Stephen's Church.

"It's been an exciting year affiliated with Raymond James," he said. "The independent model has many advantages for my clients. I have access to a wider array of options, both investments and insurance. And I now work directly for my clients, rather than for a large financial institution like a bank, brokerage or insurance firm."

Lynch explained that Raymond James was founded in 1962 and has an international footprint, with 6,500 financial advisors and is respected for strong investment research, asset management and financial planning.

"They typically work with experienced, proven financial professionals and I'm pleased to be associated with them," he said.

Lynch's practice focuses in three areas: retirement planning, investments/asset allocation and insurance solutions. The primary client needs he serves include wealth accumulation, supplementing retirement income, college savings, business retirement plans, estate planning and life/long term care/disability insurance.

For a complimentary financial consultation, Lynch can be contacted at 294-3456 or edward.lynch@raymondjames.com. His website is www.raymondjames.com/edwardlynch.
