It's that time of year again when farmers' fields turn bright yellow with blooming sunflowers. One of these locations is Brodhecker Farm on Branchville-Lawson Road in Newton, N.J. Parking on a dirt shoulder near the field , people get out of their cars with camera in hand and start clicking away. A hay cart has been stationed in the field so visitors can step up and get a better overall view of the almost ten acres of these huge flowers that all point in the same direction while following the days sun. When finally harvested, the sunflower seeds will be sold as bird food.
