'Under the Tent Party' slated for Saturday, Aug. 23
WARWICK — Join friends and members of the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick on Saturday, Aug. 23, for the society’s annual "Under the Tent Party."
The party, which takes place from 6 to 9 p.m., is located at Lewis Park in the Village of Warwick, and attendees will enjoy epicurean delights donated by area restaurants, accompanied by wine, beer, and music and dancing to set the mood. A flat-screen TV raffle and silent auction will add to an evening of lively conversation.
“This is an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and an opportunity to make new ones,” said Sharon Knol, executive director of the Warwick Historical Society.
The "Under the Tent Party" is the historical society’s biggest fund-raising event of the year.
Lewis Park, surrounded by historical buildings and shaded by historical trees, is nearby the Old School Baptist Meeting House, Baird’s Tavern, the Buckbee Center, the Shingle House, the Sly Barn, the UAME Church building, the Lehigh & Hudson Caboose, the Ketchum House and the 1810 House.
Tickets for this year’s party are $65 per person and may be purchased at the event.
