PI Chamber hosts 'Jazz & Art in the Park' on Aug. 16

PINE ISLAND — The Pine Island Chamber of Commerce will host a "Jazz & Art in the Park" event on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pine Island Town Park at Kay Road in Pine Island.

The event is family friendly and free to all. Attendees can enjoy food from K&K Doghouse, ice cream from Lickety Split or bring a picnic meal from any of the Pine Island restaurants. There will be face painting for children.

From 2 to 7 p.m., local artists, including Sarah McHugh, Femi Ford, Chrissy Pahucki, Renelle Lorray and others, will display original paintings, photographs, pottery and jewelry.

Warwick School of Music teachers and students will entertain during the afternoon.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m., The Hudson Valley Jazz Festival’s Eric Person and Mehta4 will perform in concert.

The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 17.
