WARWICK — The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce recently announced that State Sen. John Bonacic sponsored a resolution, which honors Warwick for being recently named one of the "10 Best Weekend Getaway Options in the United States."

StyleCaster, a national online social network where people connect with each other to share content and get recommendations from peers and experts around the world, recently included Warwick on its best weekend getaway list.

The millions of people who visit its Website at www.stylecaster.com and go to the affiliated Website, The Vivant/Travel, will find a list of the 10 best weekend getaway options in the United States.

The list, complete with photos and travel tips, includes popular destinations such as Laguna Beach, California; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; Palm Beach, Florida; and Warwick.

All were selected for their scenic beauty and attractions as well as being within a reasonable driving distance from a major city.

The chamber received a letter with news about the resolution from Bonacic who wrote, "The people of New York, in particular the Hudson Valley, have always known about the wonderful opportunities in Warwick. However, it is nice to have Warwick recognized nationally for all it has to offer and, hopefully, it will encourage more tourists to choose it as a weekend destination."

Michael Johndrow, executive director of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, said: "We would like to share this proud accomplishment with all residents of the area, and looks forward to further development of our Tourism Program."
