Frederick G. Batz III of Warwick passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, N.J. He was 59 years old.

Born May 14, 1955, he was the son of Frederick G. and Dorothy Jean (nee Quackenbush) Batz.

Frederick was a correction officer for the former Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick. He also was a member of the former Bellvale United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his three sisters: Vicki Fulmer of Harrisonburgh, Va., Catherine Mikovits of Virginia Beach, Va., and Margaret Blasic of Hamburg, N.J.; one brother Bill Batz; and many nieces and nephews

Cremation is private and arrangements are under the direction of Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
