FLORIDA — The Florida Farmers’ Market starts its 11th year on Tuesday, June 17.

Opening day is the start of a season packed with Hudson Valley fresh produce and homemade goods. In addition:

To start the lunch time hour, the Florida Chamber of Commerce will host music by Triad, a trio of professional musicians who perform an eclectic variety of standards from the Great American Songbook, along with pop and jazz favorites.

At 4 p.m., following Triad, Florida’s own Golden Hill’s World Drumming ensemble will engage in hand drumming tribal beats from West Africa, the Caribbean and others regions. Come listen to the drummers beat out a rhythm and even learn about the magical instruments they play.

Free blood pressure, blood sugar and blood cholesterol screening, along with healthy eating ideas and recipes will be provided by local dietician Jessica Altland from Horizon Family Medical Group.

Kerry Tobin will provide face painting and creative shaped balloons for all age groups.

Merchant of the Week: featured vendor who will provide handmade or homegrown items.

Community Relations: showcase a local business or non-profit organization.

Free Delivery Service: for local seniors and disabled residents of Florida. Phone orders will be taken on Tuesday’s between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. .and delivery will occur between 2-4 p.m. on most weeks (when available).

Warwick Dial-A-Bus has a fixed bus route past the Market on Tuesday, for drop off and pickup of community members.
