  • Warwick Community Ambulance Service, Inc., provides emergency medical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

WARWICK — The volunteers of Warwick Community Ambulance answered 83 calls for help, including 12 injuries or reports of pain, eight motor vehicles accidents and three drug overdoses.

The volunteers worked 109 hours and traveled 873 in answering the emergency service calls.

Since the first of the year, the Warwick Community Ambulance volunteers have reported to 431 calls, traveled 873 miles to do so and worked 470 hours. There also have been four standby service calls.

Here’s the breakdown on the May calls:

General illness: 16
Falls: 10
Injury/ pain: 12

Motor vehicle accidents: 8
Mutual aid Greenwood Lake: 5

Difficulty breathing: 4
Cardiac: 4

Syncope: 4
Difficulty breathing: 4

Unconscious/unresponsive: 3
Medic alert activation: 3

Drug overdose: 3
Altered mental status: 3

Emotionally disturbed: 2
Mutual aid Florida: 1
