The Catholic School Region of Ulster/Sullivan/Orange will hold its first annual 5K Run/Walk at John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen on Saturday, June 14.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate, build solidarity with other school families throughout the region and to raise awareness about Catholic education," said Rev. Thomas Byrnes, regional board chair and pastor, Sacred Heart Church, Monroe. "The proceeds of the race will be used towards marketing and communication so we can get the good word out about Catholic education. We are pleased to donate a portion of our proceeds to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. We are grateful for the support of our event sponsors, John S. Juliano, M.D., Kevin M. Trapp, M.D. Faith Ferguson Productions and Fidelis Care.”

The 5K Run/Walk will be held rain or shine. Registration is $30 in advance and can be done online at www.uso5k.com. Day of the race registration is $35. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. at Burke Catholic High School, 80 Fletcher St., Goshen, with the walk commencing at 8:30 a.m. and the run at 9 a.m.
