— Warwick Valley High School will host the second annual Warwick versus North Rockland challenge to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

This event has come to be known as the Wounded Warrior Challenge. Event will be held Saturday, May 3, on the campus of Warwick Valley High School beginning with a kick–off ceremony at the football stadium starting promptly at 2:15 p.m.

The keynote speaker will be Wounded Warrior Project speakers coordinator Jason Braase of Idaho, who was injured in combat while serving in Afghanistan.

The objective is to raise awareness and funds for the Wounded Warrior Project whose mission is focused on veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after Sept. 11, 2001.

Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events and the athletes at North Rockland and Warwick are honored to compete in the name of the Warriors.

Following opening ceremonies, games will all begin at 3 p.m. featuring the Warwick Valley and North Rockland High School Teams:
